What to Expect When.

Here is a link to a useful website giving parents and carers information about how children progress throughout the foundation stage.

May I also remind Parents and Carers about the two Phonics Meetings that are taking place on Tuesday 13th October. If you would prefer the morning meeting then the session will run from 9am until 9:25am. If you prefer an afternoon session, then this is at 3pm until 3:25pm.

Teddy Bears Picnic Fun

A big thank you to all the parents and carers who came on our Teddy Bear’s Picnic.
We had lots of fun, finding letters and making words.
Here are a few pictures of all the fun we had.

Chick, Chick, Chick, Chick, Chicken. Lay a little egg for me!

Nursery and Class R were given 6 chicken eggs to look after in a special incubator. So far 5 eggs have hatched and 5 little chicks are now a part of our school.
We are deciding what we should name our chicks and Class R have so far thought of the following names-
Santa Claus
Loo Loo
What do you think?
Can you think of any names?

A visit from a special visitor in class R.

This week we learnt about all the good work guide dogs do. We learnt that they help people who cannot see. We met the beautiful guide dog ‘Maddie’ who was very well behaved and friendly.
Well done to Matthew for being “Star of the Week” for writing some lovely instructions about planting a bean.

Welcome Back Class R

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and got up to lots of fun things.
Our topic for this half term is Food and Growth.
We will be learning about where we get food from, how it is made and what we need to help us grow.
Why not take your child to the shops and discuss all the different foods that are avaiable to buy.
Many supermarkets now have an unusual fruit and vegetable section you and your child could explore.
You could also discuss money when you are out shopping and get your child to help you pay for the food you buy.
Many Thanks
Reception Staff
